My Five pound baby.

Just another string of letters and sentences make up this post. What differs though is that they come from my newly acquired laptop.

Why make such a deal about a new computer? You don’t understand. A laptop in India is still revered and I am still very much Indian. As an engineering undergrad I used to drool over branded P4 desktops with cool fascia covers and fancy colors. My interaction with a laptop (an IBM) happened when I worked at Tata Motors and it was my bosses show off toy. Hell, even getting to work on that black thing was something we used to boast about at those meaning less lunch talks.

Finally, after a year or so being in states and looking at other’s laps, I finally have one of my own. To have and to hold…

Not to mention that I bought it on day when Dell went mad and decided to offer a $750 off on their Laptops. The result, my first Laptop, a five pound marvel was bought at a ridiculously cheap price.

As one of my friends puts it, “These kinds of deals make everybody else with a regular bought laptop look stupid!”
